Love

REVOLUTIONARY SELF

JaylynJones.png

Hi, I'm Jaylyn

I’m fat. I’m Black. I have dark skin and big curly hair that refuses to be tamed. I’ve got stretch marks and a ton of cellulite. I swear a LOT. I drink too much iced coffee and watch too much reality TV. I have never written a book. I don’t have an inspiring tale about how I overcame tremendous obstacles. And in spite of all of this, I have learned to love myself in a world that tells me that I’m not beautiful or worthy. I am extraordinarily ordinary, and yet overflowing with confidence. I believe that self-love is a revolutionary act of resistance. I have spent years doing social justice work in an effort to encourage people to embrace people who are different. What I realized that while we wait for society to become a more accepting place, people still deserve to feel love and joy for themselves.  I want to give keynotes that inspire people to stand proudly in their own skin.

ABOUT
SERVICES

Thick Thighs Save Lives

Our bodies deserve to be celebrated for all of the things that they can do. By embracing our own physical imperfections, we cultivate spaces to inspire that in others while envisioning communities free of ableism, colorism, and fatphobia.

Liberation Through Love

In order to move towards the joy of liberation, we must first move through the pains of our racist past and present. Rather than ignoring the hurt, we must challenge ourselves to embrace pain as part of healing and recognize that being nice isn't enough.

Rooted in Change

In just five years, everyday women completely revolutionized an entire industry and changed decades old expectations about hair and beauty.  Attendees will learn the power of social media and technology to create social change in real tangible ways.
